Where The Mind Is Without Fear

Where the mind is without fear
and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not
been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving
stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason
has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by three
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father,
let my country awake.

Shelter Home Horror 😡

What is to be done? Girls and women are getting raped left, right and centre. As per the NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau) data, 38,947 cases of rape were reported in 2016 which means four women are raped every day,”

Shelter homes over the last few months have become synonymous with scandals of unimaginable proportions. With the number of homeless people in India constantly rising, shelter homes were meant to be a safe place, especially for children. However, the reality is something entirely different.

Shelter homes are horror houses for women. From Rohtak’s Apna ghar in HR to Bihar’s #Muzaffarpur to UP’s #Deoria to MP’s #Bhopal
All speak volumes of heinous acts! Women being raped, forced into sex trade, all kinda child atrocities! Is it so difficult for our govt to keep a check on them? Shame!

PATNA: A Bihar shelter home has turned into a house of horror as the survivors give testimonies of being drugged, starved and raped night after night. Girls between the ages of 7-18, many suffering from speech-impairment, have alleged that they were fed food mixed with sedatives, made to sleep naked and beaten mercilessly at the slightest sign of protest. The number of girls who have been raped went up to 34 on Saturday, according to recent medical reports.

“Sedatives were mixed in my food due to which I used to feel dizzy. I was asked by the aunties to sleep in Brajesh sir’s room and they used to talk about some visitor coming there. I used to find my pant thrown on the floor when I got up in the morning.”

Other girls also testified to the beatings. One girl who worked as a domestic help said that a man with a big potbelly would hit her if she refused to take the ‘medicine’ while another said that the accused Brajesh used to take her to the office and scratch her private parts. “He used to scratch so badly that it used to lead to cut marks,” she told the court.

The survivors also related incidents where boiling water and oil had been thrown on them. In desperation, a survivor spoke about how she and other girls would cut themselves with shards of broken glass on their hands and legs to prevent being forced into “gaanda kaam”(sexual abuse).

The police estimate that 470 girls have been brought to the shelter in the last five years.

Neighbours heard the “deafening” screams of the girls but no one appears to have complained or raised an alarm. Naseema Rashid (name changed), a resident, said the girls were never seen moving around the campus of the shelter home or its rooftop. She added that the girls’ quarters had no windows, just ventilators. “Sounds of screaming and yelling were heard frequently from the home. However, I never got the courage to intervene as Brajesh Thakur was a dabbang person (muscleman),” she said.

Another neighbour, Sulekha (name changed) also admitted that she used to hear the girls’ screams. “They were scary,” she told the police.

Amidst all the news that has been coming in from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh about shelter homes being shut down because of the nefarious activities, there is one story of a brave 10-year-old who saved not just herself but 24 other girls from Ma Vindhyawasini Mahila Prakishan Evam Samaj Sewa Sansthan, a women’s shelter home in Deoria, east Uttar Pradesh.

The young girl reached the police station by herself and said that girls from the shelter home used to be taken away in “white, black and red” cars at night and brought back early the next day.

Recounting the manner in which she escaped, the girl told the publication that she found an opportune moment and fled from the home without turning to look back. What is important to mention here is the swift action taken by the police as well.

The young girl is said to have reached the police station at around 10.30 p.m., and by 11 p.m., the police had reached the said shelter home to ascertain what was happening. The manager of the property, Girija Tripathi, along with her husband, Mohan Tripathi, were arrested immediately.

BHOPAL/INDORE: With the country reeling from rapes at shelter homes in Bihar and UP, Bhopal has added to the horror. The director of a government-run hostel for the disabled was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping a deaf-mute inmate and molesting several others.

The survivor, a 19-year-old tribal girl, was suffering in silence until another inmate — who the accused had allegedly molested — ran away and told her parents that teen needed to be rescued. Alarmed, the teenager’s brother rushed to Bhopal and took her out of the hostel. Unsure of what to do next, they approached the deaf-mute help desk at Tukoganj in Indore, where she narrated her ordeal in sign language.

Bhopal: A preliminary investigation into the alleged rape of a speech and hearing impaired girl in a shelter home here by its director has led to disclosure that the “sexual predator” had outraged modesty of total four inmates of the women hostel.

“The fourth victim of shelter home’s director Ashwin Sharma has surfaced and she has been identified. We have talked to her parents. She is going to file a FIR in connection with the incident in a day or two,” counsellor of the deaf and mute help desk, the one of its kind opened by the Madhya Pradesh police at Tukoganj in district headquarters town of Indore said on Friday.

The 19-year-old speech and hearing impaired girl, who filed an FIR with the police in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday. The victim alleged that the director raped her during her stay at the Bhopal shelter home to complete her course in local industrial training institute (ITI). She also told the police that another inmate of the hostel had also fallen victim to the sexual predator.

In a shocker from Bhopal, a 4th hostel survivor has revealed that the director of the establishment had forced the girl to watch porn & had raped her for 6 months daily. The girl told Indore police that the accused even brutally tormented her to give in to his demands & threatened her to remain mum. The horrifying truth was exposed when a 20-yr old deaf and dumb girl complained to the police.

Earlier, two sisters, both deaf and mute, fled the shelter home in the first week of this month following alleged sexual harassment by the accused.

Stop Rape

Father raped his own minor daughter and made her pregnant in Kerala. This horrible news was splashed in media last year. But during the investigation into the incestuous rape case it was found that a Catholic church father Robin Robin Vadakkuncheril had raped a minor girl.

She got pregnant and even delivered a child Robin and few others who abetted this pedophilic rape including a nun were arrested. The church had compelled the Father to accept the crime to save the rapist priest.

Paedophile Rapist Moulavi Madrassa Teacher Harshad Moulavi under arrest on rape charges in Taliparamba, Kannur Victims – 4 Minor girls of his class.

Brajesh Thakur, the man arrested for the rape and torture of more than 30 girls at a shelter home in Bihar managed by his NGO, is not in a jail cell but resting in the hospital wing. That’s how they treat a criminal.

Disgusting, horrendous. But why public in general is showing apathy?

Rape & Atrocities r real Heineous crimes which is deeply routed in our society.

No female or male child in this world is safe from prying predators at school, street or confines of own home. Nonetheless, even compared with dismal national record, the Muzaffarpur incident must make us as a nation collectively put our head to shame.

Approx.34 minor girls raped at a shelter home in Muzaffarpur! Little girls aged 7 to 14 went through rape abortion and torture!.
What kind of a totally insensitive society have we become that not a word is being uttered when 34 girls, some very young children are raped and tortured over months by those who are supposed to protect them! The entire govt should been brought down by now!!

I am feeling sick in the stomach just listening to the news of the Bihar, UP, MP Shelter Home Child Rape horror how can those responsible for protecting them go home to their families & lead normal lives!!!

My Lord, Never let me climb so high
That I am unable to embrace another stranger,
Deliver me ever from such arrogance!
Why shouldn’t I live every moment to the fullest
Why shouldn’t I admire the beauty in every fragment?
Everything is at stake,
there’s no option to stop now
We can break at this point,
but we cannot bend now!
Let the adversities strike,
Let there be catastrophes dire
Let there be embers under our soles,
Let it shower flare,
With that fire in our hands,
Smiling, we have to burn We have to move forward, together!

Dear Atalji 🙏🏻

You were an Abou Ben in Indian politics,
A strict and staunch follower of high Ethics,
An austere disciplinarian and a mature Parliamentarian,
In the real sense of the term, the truest Samaritan!

Your unique and inimitable oratory could be heard in chaos,
Bloods of Patriotism, selfless public service flowed in your arteries, veins pious!
Your sensible, visionary, flawless and unbudging decisions,
Made you one of Mother India’s most favoured and booned Sons!

You never pursued politics for your personal gains,
You never trode a path cheap, irrelevant, mean and non-sense!
You were born to serve, at crises unperturbed and calm were your nerves,
Commendable were your catalyst’s character, spirits, sagacity, acumen and verves!

You have surely left indelible footprints on the sands of Time,
That will, without doubt, shine and guide as a Pole-star even in the most unfavourable clime

Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee You Will Be Missed 🙏🏻

To spend an entire lifetime in the politics of world’s largest democracy and yet be respected by all parties throughout his life whether in opposition or in power sets him miles apart from any leader India has ever had.

Shri #AtalBihariVajpayee – one of those rare politicians whose death makes you genuinely sad

A man of class and dignity. Always put India first.

It’s not just the passing of a man but feels like the end of a chapter of Indian politics. An age when even in an all out political attack, poetry & humour was regularly employed. When politeness & candour, intellectualism & earthy honesty were centrestage.

Atalji only had opponents, and not enemies in politics. A man so revered, an inspirational statesman, and a thoroughly simple yet so powerful personality. Lucky to have seen your era.

No Indian politician has been so universally loved as Atalji.

He came, He saw, He conquered our hearts by his oratory, his exemplary behavior, his statesmanship par excellence. That was our Atalji. There can never be a personality like Atalji. I am one of the millions who deeply mourn for his passing away.

An orator par excellence, Atalji was like an artiste! His voice modulations, swings and ups and downs, his passion, gestures and his witty repartee; all enriched India’s political discourse! In Parliament he used to enlighten, on the streets he used to enthral, both with artful ease!

It won’t be an exaggeration if I say Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the most respected leader that India has witnessed post its Independence

A Titan has departed. There was more impact and gravitas in the pauses between his words, than there are in the petty political speeches we hear these days.

A prolific poet, wise prime minister, statesman & above all a giant leader who was admired by all across political spectrum. End of an era.

He was a spell-binding orator, a leader of great vision, a patriot to the core for whom the national interest was paramount. But above all, he was a man with a very large heart and a real spirit of magnanimity

A vacuum and a void. An emptiness looming large. An indelible legacy. Was privileged to have worked closely with him.

A huge stalwart of Indian politics … Legend by any scale … A multifaceted immensely talented personality … Above all A GENUINE HUMAN BEING … He is irreplaceable

He shall be remembered as one of India’s greatest leaders, as an exemplary statesman whose popularity wasn’t incumbent on the position he held. A rare public man who won the hearts of the people, wherever he went. May his life serve as a guiding light for future generations of public servants.

End of an era in Politics. May your soul be in peace Mr. Vajpayee. You will be dearly missed by one n all in this nation

Atalji, you were, undoubtedly, a Moon of fluorescence,
You were, undeniably, an unblinking Star of effulgence,
You were, unquestionably, a Sun of eminence,
You were, indisputably, a Statesman of essence!

Atalji, you were, irrefutably, a World leader of credence,
You were, incredibly, a Himalaya of patience,
You were, assuredly, a Visionary with the laudable lenses,
You were, most importantly, a Man of unique senses!

Atalji, you were, truly a patriot par excellence,
You were, surely, a Yogi of rare continence,
You were, certainly, a model of inimitable munificence,
You duly deserved to transcend the mundane, mortal Fence!

Thus, we pray to God to bless the world with Atals countless,
And shower on your immortal Soul Rest, Peace and Solace!

How much she would have screamed,
how much she would have shouted,
the screams of that muslim girl would have reached no less further than any hindu girl.
How much she would have cried,
how much she would have broken,
Allah, She called, why not Rama helped her?
Due to Beatings ,
She would have cried,
How many days did she spend,
How many nights she wouldn’t have slept?
For her wound,
she would have called for her mother,
thinking of her condition,
Her mother would have got her heart out in her mouth?
Seeing the grief of that child,
God when unable to tolerate it,
accepting the cruelty from the world would have called her above.
Her screams would have even melted stones of the temples,
the tears of that innocent would have made the creator cry too..
You hang those devils now, but even death won’t pay back for it.
Sitting in the conscience of Allah or lord Rama Asifa calls them.
